The Revised Deposit Local Development Plan (LDP) was made available for public consultation by Newport Council between June and July 2013. As part of that consultation exercise there was an opportunity for individuals and organisations to submit ‘Alternative Sites’ that they would like to see included in the Plan for development or protection.
Newport Council is now out to consultation on those alternative sites (plus 6 proposed deletions) – 13 of which are in the Marshfield Ward.
The Alternative Sites Register (Revised LDP Stage) is available on the Council website at: www.newport.gov.uk/planningpolicy together with representation forms. These can be filled in by hand or online. All documents are also available at the Council’s Information Station (the former Newport Train Station), and in all Newport libraries or on request.
Consultation closes on 18th October 2013. Comments need to be made in writing and should be on the forms provided, to be received by the Council no later than 5pm on Friday 18th October 2013, by post, online, or emailed to ldp.consultation@newport.gov.uk
